/ January 4, 2016Oh, I do love a good cable, and you have lots! It’s going to be so lush when it’s done.
Sewing Beside the Sea
/ January 4, 2016It isn’t going to be a summer project. I’m already turning the heating off to knit 😉
katechiconi
/ January 4, 2016Sounds as if you’ll have to put it aside if it’s not finished by spring! It really is the most gorgeous design.
Sewing Beside the Sea
/ January 4, 2016I’m quite proud of my pattern. A few people have asked for it already but I’ve asked them to wait until I’ve finished making mine first LOL.

/ January 4, 2016Wow it is really looking fabulous. The Aran pattern shows up so well in the lilac.
Sewing Beside the Sea
/ January 4, 2016I’m really pleased with how it’s turning out 🙂

/ January 4, 2016Thats it gorgeous Aran knitting Avis. I am getting an appreciation for purple from your achievement. Well done. Your hands must be killing you
Sewing Beside the Sea
/ January 4, 2016My hands are absolutely fine. Does knitting cause you problems?

/ January 5, 2016I love knitting, but get dreadful cramps. So use an anti-inflammatory rub before I knit, and also compression half gloves. Old age creeping up too quickly
Sewing Beside the Sea
/ January 5, 2016My Mum used to get cramps in her arms and legs, especially at night. Her doctor advised her to drink tonic water, a brand containing quinine. It seemed to work for her. It would certainly put me off knitting if I suffered as you do.

/ January 4, 2016That looks complicated, I love that purple colour
Sewing Beside the Sea
/ January 4, 2016It is complicated but it’s my own pattern so I think I know where I’m going with it. I hope so anyway.

/ January 4, 2016The cable patterns are so timeconsuming…. but they look so gorgeous!
Sewing Beside the Sea
/ January 4, 2016I’m in no hurry. My only worry is that if I don’t get it finished before May, it’ll be too warm to sit under and knit. Then it’ll have to wait in a box until September.
Julie
/ January 5, 2016Pretty, pretty, pretty!
Sewing Beside the Sea
/ January 6, 2016Thank you Julie. You’re very kind 🙂

/ January 5, 2016I just love seeing your progress on this lovely blanket! All of the cables and patterns are so beautiful and I just love how the border at the bottom has just enough ruffling. So sweet!
Sewing Beside the Sea
/ January 6, 2016Yes, I had thought about having less stitches on the border and then to increase for the main pattern but I quite like the ruffle 🙂
Isabel's Needleworks
