Kokeshi Friends Stage 4

Good morning everyone. Here we are again. Another three weeks have whizzed by and it’s time for another SAL update. Kokeshi Friends by Joan Elliott is coming along a treat. I still haven’t done any of the backstitch so if you want to see how it will bring this pattern to life, pop over to see Claire’s version. We are stitching the same design.

Here’s where I’m up to now.

Stage 4The other ladies in the group are all stitching different projects. Pop over to see what they are up to via the following links.

Claire, Gun, Carole, Jule, Wendy, LucyAnn, Kate, Cathy, Jess, Jacqui.

Our next update is scheduled for 7th February. See you then!

  1. Such pretty little misses! I’m not going to be ready to post for a good few hours, and I’ll be sitting the next one out, as I’m travelling that day and a couple of days before, but I hope to be back for the one after that!

  2. Good progress, looking great.

Their cute little mouths make me smile. It really is looking good. Had a peep at Claire’s and you are right the backstitch does set it off.

  4. These are too cute!

  5. Gorgeous Avis, looks stunning

  6. Love the pretty colours used in this. It looks lovely without the backstitch, although I can see what a difference it does make by looking at Claire’s.

    • It’s nice to have some definition. We are now working on the doll on the far right. After that I’ll start the backstitch but I’m not sure it’ll be done for the next update 🙂

  7. So cute, I love them. Coming on well.

    we’re going great guns ^^

  9. You’re speeding through this one!

    • It doesn’t feel like that really. I can do each doll in a couple of days. Then I take a photo ready for the update and put it away for a while. I’m really enjoying it 🙂

  10. They look so pretty!

  11. Another cutie. I’m spotting some individual colour choices between your version and Claire’s 😉

  12. Oh dear……you are a hardworking girl I can see 🙂 The girls on the embroidery are so cute!
