Cirque des Cercles Stage 2

Hi everyone,

I’m so pleased to show you my completed 2nd stage of Cirque des Cercles from Ink Circles. I hope you like it.

Stage 2

I’m stitching along with Claire over at Claire93 and Izz at Isabel’s Needleworks. Claire is stitching the same design as me and Izz is stitching a sampler which she has wanted to complete for years but just hadn’t got around to it Smile They are both looking really lovely. Why not pop over to take a look at their 2nd stage posts when they are published some time today? Our next completed stage will be revealed on 16th March as long as we are all ready to post by then.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Cirque des Cercles Stage 1

Hi everyone,

First of all, welcome to the merry band of new followers! I really appreciate you all taking time to have a little peep at what me and my friends are up to.

I’m so pleased to show you my completed first stage of Cirque des Cercles from Ink Circles.

I’m beginning to get used to sewing on the black evenweave fabric. It was difficult at first but I think it is going to be well worth the effort. I’m stitching along with Claire over at Claire93 and Izz at Isabel’s Needleworks. Claire is stitching the same design as me and Izz is stitching a sampler which she has wanted to complete for years but just hadn’t got around to it Smile Why not pop over to take a look at their first stage posts when they are published some time today? Our next completed stage will be revealed on 23rd February as long as we are all ready to post by then.

When I mentioned the fabric and thread colour I was going to use in an earlier post, I received a lovely email from a lady called Christine with a photo of some of her stitching with the same thread choice (DMC 111). Look at what she sent me. Isn’t it beautiful?

The wonders of the internet never fail to amaze me. It’s so nice to be crafting alongside like minded people all over the world when I’m really just sitting at home on the sofa, stitching away in my own little world Smile

Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

A new beginning and an almost finished!

Hi everyone,

Just letting you know that I’ve finally decided on colour and fabric for my new project from Ink Circles called Cirque des Cercles. I can’t think of another time when I’ve been so indecisive. Anyway, eventually I have decided to go with the same as the example on the chart which is black 28 count evenweave fabric and embroidery floss DMC shade 111.

So, we are off! There are now three of us in the stitch-along Smile

Claire over at Claire93 is stitching the same design as me but in her own fabric and colour choices and Izz at Isabel’s Needleworks will be stitching a sampler which she has wanted to complete for several years. We are dividing our projects up into approximately 12 stages and have agreed to post updates when we have all finished the first stage, probably early February. If you have a large project in your stash that you could divide up into 12 stages, why not stitch along with us and post updates at the same time too? Let us know if you decide to pull out that long lost kit. This is a great way to stay motivated and finish a project alongside everyone else. What are you waiting for?

Next up, my crocheted ripple blanket is nearing completion. If I continue to finish one stripe per day (2 rows) as I have over the last few days, it’ll be finished in 11 days from now. Eleven stripes to go YEY!!

Finally, for today, I just want to quickly tell you about an exciting sort of giveaway on my patchwork blog Oh Sew Tempting which you may like to take part in. Please do!

I hope you are all having lots of time to craft. I’m off to catch up with some of your lovely blogs now.
