It’s time for another SAL project update. I’m stitching the Woodland Sampler by Anchor. The design number is PCE958.
This is where I was up to last time.

I’ve been working under the fox this time. I finished the greenery where he is sitting, a clump of primroses, part of a butterfly and more greenery with someone hiding at the bottom. We’ve got quite a few primroses flowering in the garden at the moment so I enjoyed stitching those.

I’ll be working to the right of the primroses next. It’ll be almost full coverage with a stream and more greenery plus the rest of the butterfly. I’m going to try to keep up the same pace for every update. You’ve all been very patient with me for taking forever to get this project done. Thanks for all the encouragement.
Renee has decided to take a break from the SAL for a while. Please check out what everyone else has been up to by clicking their names below. We live all over the world so you may need to allow for time differences as we’re posting today at local time.

About the SAL
Please note this SAL is not accepting any more new members until further notice but this is what it’s all about anyway. This SAL (Stitch Along) is slightly different to other SALs in that we don’t all stitch the same design at the same rate. We choose ONE unfinished project, or ONE new one, and show progress of its completion over a series of three weekly updates. There are no deadlines and no set amount to stitch. The result is that the space in our drawers full of WIPs (works in progress) is gradually being freed up to store lots of new crafty goodness. It’s surprising how much motivation I’ve gained from being in this SAL.

/ March 13, 2022Oh Avis, you make such steady progress and there is no need to apologise for taking time and care with your stitching. Many of us, myself included take far longer than you ever do, and it is a real pleasure seeing this one unfolding, as it is so beautiful xxx

/ March 13, 2022well done on another stage, Avis. Love the primroses which are very seasonal ^^ And the blue butterfly is going to balance the bluebells very nicely!
Sewing Beside the Sea
/ March 14, 2022Agreed. Maybe the butterfly will distract the eyes from the bluebells LOL.

/ March 13, 2022Oooh, is that a bunny that is emerging down below. Those primroses are beautiful. You have gotten a lot of stitching completed these last 3 weeks. I am enjoying watching your progress.
Sewing Beside the Sea
/ March 14, 2022Correct! I’m aiming for a similar amount of the fabric to be filled next time. There’s plenty of other projects waiting for attention.

Sewing Beside the Sea
/ March 14, 2022You do! Its popping its head out of the burrow but it’ll be a while before I get along to that bit so he’ll have to wait.

/ March 14, 2022Great progress! No Primroses here yet, but plenty of Snowdrops!
Sewing Beside the Sea
/ March 14, 2022We don’t have any snowdrops in the garden but the tiny daffs are starting to open. We just need the wind to go away so we can enjoy them for longer. I love all the spring flowers.
rutigt
/ March 16, 2022Yes, I love them too! Gives you hope!
AJ

/ March 17, 2022Congratulations on the next stage and so sorry my post was late Avis. I have not been well and am currently in the throws of parents evenings – so my brain really isn’t functioning. I will try and get back on top of things now!
Sewing Beside the Sea
