Happy Christmas to everyone if you celebrate it and best wishes for 2021. This very strange year has flown by!
Now for the SAL update….
Tiny Treasures was designed by Liz Almond and the chart is a free download from Blackwork Journey. This is where I was up to last time.
I’ve added another four boxes and five flowers. The outer border has been extended by a couple of inches past the edge of the photo because I just kept stitching until the pieces of thread were all used up.
Please check out what everyone else has been up to by clicking their names below. We live all over the world so you may need to allow for time differences. Posting takes place every third Sunday, local time. Our next updates will be posted on the 17th January 2021.

About the SAL
Please note this SAL is not accepting any more new members until further notice but this is what it’s all about anyway. This SAL (Stitch Along) is slightly different to other SALs in that we don’t all stitch the same design at the same rate. We choose ONE unfinished project, or ONE new one, and show progress of its completion over a series of three weekly updates. There are no deadlines and no set amount to stitch. The result is that the space in our drawers full of WIPs (works in progress) is gradually being freed up to store lots of new crafty goodness. It’s surprising how much motivation I’ve gained from being in this SAL.

/ December 27, 2020You always make such steady progress Avis. x
Sewing Beside the Sea
/ December 27, 2020I usually stitch for a few days on the SAL project straight after the SAL update and then get on with something else for the remainder of the 3 weeks. It works for me 🙂

/ December 27, 2020I am always amazed at how much you get done in a three week period! Tiny Treasures is looking so very nice. Happiness and health to you and your family!
Sewing Beside the Sea
/ December 27, 2020Best wishes to you and yours too Connie 🙂 I tend to blitz the SAL project straight after update day and then do other things.

Cathie J
/ December 27, 2020I love the stitching in the bottom left box. Then again all of the boxes are beautiful.
Sewing Beside the Sea
/ December 27, 2020Thank you Cathie. The variegated thread adds interest to all the stitches I think 🙂

/ December 27, 2020I love looking at all the different patterns in this piece! I’m also happy that there are a lot of rows left so I can keep seeing it every three weeks. Thanks so much for running this stitch-a-long; I get so much inspiration from it! Best wishes for a wonderful 2021.
Sewing Beside the Sea
/ December 27, 2020Thank you. It’s really easy to organise our lovely group of crafters. The variety of projects always surprises me. There’s something for everyone to admire 🙂

/ December 27, 2020Every time I see this I marvel at how big it seems. It’s a wonderful piece of work (in both colorways!).
Sewing Beside the Sea
/ December 27, 2020I looked for some Google Images and was surprised it’s not a very popular design. There’s so many ways it could be stitched and/or embellished.
AJ

/ December 28, 2020I always love to look at this work. In a very selfish way I am glad it is taking you a while to finish ~ I have more SALs to see it! Thanks for organising us over the year, Avis. It has been so good to have the routine and deadlines over this crazy year. Here’s to 2021!
Sewing Beside the Sea
/ December 28, 2020I could probably finish this in a couple of weeks if I tried but I like to do other things at the same time. It’s been a pleasure to organise the SAL. We’ve been going for quite a few years now. All the best for 2021!
