Good morning everyone. Here we are again. Another three weeks have whizzed by and it’s time for another SAL update. Kokeshi Friends by Joan Elliott is coming along a treat. I still haven’t done any of the backstitch so if you want to see how it will bring this pattern to life, pop over to see Claire’s version. We are stitching the same design.
Here’s where I’m up to now.
The other ladies in the group are all stitching different projects. Pop over to see what they are up to via the following links.
Claire, Gun, Carole, Jule, Wendy, LucyAnn, Kate, Cathy, Jess, Jacqui.
Our next update is scheduled for 7th February. See you then!

/ January 17, 2016Such pretty little misses! I’m not going to be ready to post for a good few hours, and I’ll be sitting the next one out, as I’m travelling that day and a couple of days before, but I hope to be back for the one after that!

/ January 17, 2016Their cute little mouths make me smile. It really is looking good. Had a peep at Claire’s and you are right the backstitch does set it off.
Sewing Beside the Sea
/ January 17, 2016Yes, they are very neat but quite tricky to sew as they have fractional stitches. The evenweave fabric helps with that 🙂

/ January 17, 2016These are too cute!
Sewing Beside the Sea
/ January 17, 2016Sew true 😉
Debbierose
/ January 17, 2016Gorgeous Avis, looks stunning
Sewing Beside the Sea
/ January 17, 2016Thank you Debbierose. I’m enjoying the bonny colours 🙂
Carole
/ January 17, 2016Love the pretty colours used in this. It looks lovely without the backstitch, although I can see what a difference it does make by looking at Claire’s.
Sewing Beside the Sea
/ January 17, 2016It’s nice to have some definition. We are now working on the doll on the far right. After that I’ll start the backstitch but I’m not sure it’ll be done for the next update 🙂

/ January 17, 2016So cute, I love them. Coming on well.
Sewing Beside the Sea
/ January 17, 2016Each doll is just a small amount of sewing to do every three weeks but that means we can work on other projects at the same time 🙂

Sewing Beside the Sea
/ January 17, 2016Yep, four down, four to go plus a few details 🙂
Wendy
/ January 17, 2016You’re speeding through this one!
Sewing Beside the Sea
/ January 17, 2016It doesn’t feel like that really. I can do each doll in a couple of days. Then I take a photo ready for the update and put it away for a while. I’m really enjoying it 🙂

Sewing Beside the Sea
/ January 24, 2016We like to break the rules now and again….or use what we have in our stash rather than buy more.
