Hi everyone,
It’s time to show another update of our progress on various projects. Claire is sewing the same design as me. It is called Friendship Quilt V by Whispered by the Wind. It’s been crazy busy here for several weeks now and I’m so glad I got ahead by a few stages on the SAL so I could just schedule posts well ahead of time.
Here is my latest block.
Here it is with the others.
All of the other stitchers in the group are working on their own exciting projects. There is so much variety! Please pop over to see what they are up to. Just click the names below and the links will take you there. You may also notice that we have another two new members to the group. We have Jess from Ever the Crafter and Jacqui from The Stitching Line. Welcome aboard ladies 🙂 We are now a group of thirteen stitchers. Fun, fun, fun!
If some group members aren’t posting updates today (occasionally they are otherwise engaged), their blogs are still worth a visit anyway and remember that we live all around the world so some posts will appear later than others due to time difference.
If you’d like to join our SAL, send me an email. The address is on the right of this page. There are no rules or deadlines. Just pull out a WIP which has been long forgotten or start a new project to stitch along with us. Actually, it doesn’t even need to be sewing. It might be knitting or crochet or almost anything else. You will need to write a short update post to show your progress every third Sunday, linking to the rest of the group. So, let me know if you want to join in 🙂
Grab a coffee and do some blog hopping.
Claire, Gun, Carole, Alison, Jule, Elizabeth, Wendy, LucyAnn, Kate, Cathy, Jess and Jacqui.
If you want to see what else I’ve been up to recently, take a leap to my other blog Oh Sew Tempting. I’m taking part in a patchwork block swap over at Kate’s lovely blog. I’ve already made my blocks in advance for posting in June, July and August and the June parcel is already on its way to The Netherlands.
The next SAL update here will be on the 12th of July 2015. I’ll have to get my skates on for that as I have no more blocks in reserve now.

/ June 21, 2015Lovely, as always! I’m impressed that you managed to get it done despite being *insanely* busy right now..
Sewing Beside the Sea
/ June 21, 2015Ah, well that’s because I’m still showing what I did in February. However, this is the last block I have in reserve so now I really do need to sew. In another couple of days my workload will drop significantly 🙂

/ June 21, 2015This is a busy time indeed. I haven´t sewn much and next time I´m on vacation, visiting my sister! As Always you have done a great job!
Sewing Beside the Sea

/ June 21, 2015I love this block. Good luck with the busy ness.
Sewing Beside the Sea
/ June 21, 2015Thank you. Everything should quieten down work wise over the next few days. That’s the problem with self employment, you take the work as it comes as you never know when the next contract will show up 🙂

/ June 21, 2015I really like this block – there’s something rather “celtic” about it.
Sewing Beside the Sea
/ June 21, 2015Yes, I see what you mean 🙂 I’ve just thrown all the patterns back into the bag and I’ll start to duplicate from now on. Let’s see if I can trick you into thinking they are all new blocks with my little tweaks to the designs 😉
Jule
/ June 21, 2015Another block added to the patchwork quilt 🙂
Sewing Beside the Sea

Sewing Beside the Sea
/ June 22, 2015Thank you Wendy 🙂
Carole
/ June 21, 2015Another lovely block. I still can’t get over how different yours looks from the ones that Claire is doing 🙂
Sewing Beside the Sea
/ June 22, 2015Me too. I like doing the same project as Claire and for this one I’m just using up scraps of thread so I only needed to buy the chart and the fabric. I can just about get the lid fastened on the thread box now 🙂
