/ March 22, 2014Oh that is very lovely Avis. I have a nice appliquéd elephant bed cover that came from India but it’s not as sumptuous as that.
Sewing Beside the Sea
/ March 22, 2014That sounds lovely too 🙂 My daughter was blessed by an elephant. It touched her on the forehead with its trunk. She said it was like being bopped by a very large soft cushion LOL. I love elephants!

/ March 22, 2014I remember seeing one in the street for the first time in India and actually being quite scared…. Not really what we are used to, so big and walking in the street!!
Sewing Beside the Sea

/ March 22, 2014Wow, Avis this is amazing! I’m thinking how much imagination it needs to create all the details and to plan how it will look elephant. Have a great weekend! x Teje
Sewing Beside the Sea
/ March 22, 2014I know a lot of these elephant embroideries are made at home by the ladies of the household. Who knows whether this one was made by one or many people. I can’t stop looking at it. Happy weekend to you too Teje 🙂

/ March 22, 2014I would never have guessed an elephant!! I knew it had to be a wall hanging. Too much embellishment for a garment.
Sewing Beside the Sea
/ March 22, 2014I know the Indian people love elephants which is why I was wondering about the religious aspect before. You were quite right about the wall hanging. It is very heavy 🙂
